Should i take 18 credit hours this semester

This is so you can get 8 classes that will actually give you credit. Also AP Computer Science is useful for many. If your college requires language take the highest level in high school, level 4 or AP, otherwise just take level 1 and 2. I had 5 classes first semester of college and twice in high school and it was not a good experience.

Never take 5 core classes, always 4. That is what I did for all but AP Psychology. But if it is necessary to achieve success, then it is necessary. Each student takes about 5 classes each semester to equal 15 credits. Most single-semester college courses are worth 3 credits, or 9 hours of work per week.

A whole extra class 6 classes instead of 5 would be substantially more difficult since an extra class means extra homework and such. I usually enrolled in about 16—17 credit hours each semester. One semester, I did 19, and it was a little stressful and not much fun, but still perfectly doable if you are focused.
